[2009-12-31] Protocol Analyzer Philips RC-5_V1.00.00 Publish

Module Introduction Phillips RC-5 Infrared Remote Control Format is a kind of Infrared Remote Control Signal Protocol which is worked out by PHILIPS. Although PHILIPS has worked out the more completed RC6 Standard, most of the electronic products of PHILIPS still adopt the RC5 Infrared Remote Control Format presently. Meanwhile, it can switch with the NEC Remote Control Format. The Remote Control Signal of the PHILIPS_RC5 adopts 36K carrier. Transmitting the information of one bit will occupy 64 carrier periods (about 1.778MS) each time. The time transmitted by infrared and the idle time occupies a half(889US)respectively. That’s to say, the time transmitted by the infrared signal is 32 carrier periods, and the idle time is also 32 carrier periods. If the transmitting timeframe is prior to the idle timeframe, it indicates that the transmitting value is “0”; if the idle timeframe is prior to the transmitting timeframe, it indicates that the transmitting value is “1”. In the Receiving Port, it adopts MANCHESTER Encoding; there is a transition at the middle of Bit; the Rising represents “1”, and the Falling represents “0”. Application Field It is mainly applied in Home Electronics and Remote Control Toys. 【DOWNLOAD】
