[2009-09-08] Protocol Analyzer DALI_V1.00.00 Publish

Module Introduction The DALI Protocol is an Opening Asynchronous Serial Digital Communication Protocol which is mainly used for controlling the Lighting System. The DALI system adopts the master-slave structure. This system can connect 64 Slave Units at most. Each DALI Slave uses an individual Flag Address, and this Address is set when the system starts to initialize. The Address of the Slave can be modified during the process of use according to the requirements. The Unit of the Slave can be divided into 16 Groups (use the Group Address to distinguish). Each Slave Device can be included in several different Groups; each group of Device can set 16 Scenes. There are two different signal lines for communicating between Master Device and Slave Device, and it adopts the MANCHESTER Encode Mode to encode the data. The Rising Edge of the signal is displayed as “1”and the Falling Edge of the signal is displayed as “0”. The communication speed is 1.2 kbaud/ s. The Master Device uses two different Data Frame formats: Sending Frame (from the Master Device to the Slave Device) and Receiving Frame (From the Slave Device to the Master Device). The DALI Protocol defines the double-byte Command Set which is used to realize the system function. The Command can be divided into the Standard Command and the Special Command. The first byte of the Standard Command is the Address Byte, which is used to address the DALI Slave; the second Byte is the Command Byte, which is used to control the DALI Slave which is got from addressing. The main Controller can realize the functions of the Group Control, Dimming Control, Scene Setting, etc. of the DALI Slave when using the Standard Command. The Special Command doesn’t include the Address Byte. The contents of both the two Bytes are Command codes, which are transmitted by way of Broadcast Mode; they are mainly used to start the Address Initialization for the DALI System. Application Field The DALI Protocol is an Opening Asynchronous Serial Digital Communication Protocol which is mainly used for controlling the Lighting System. 【DOWNLOAD】
